Mrs. Challenger, a pureborn Kalinago from Bataca, Dominica, with a
heart to reach her people and provide them with the best education,
is the driving force behind the founding of Lighthouse Christian
Academy. Her journey in education began at the tender age of 16
when she started teaching, and she has since dedicated 59 years to
the field, starting from 1965. Her genuine commitment to her students
and passion for education have been unwavering. Mrs. Challenger
also penned the school song, encapsulating the spirit and values of
Lighthouse Christian Academy. Her deep connection to the Kalinago
