Timerson Challenger, Chariman of the Board

Tim was saved in Sunday School class at the age of five after hearing the story of the rich man and Lazarus one Sunday morning. He understood his need for God’s salvation and accepted his gift through Jesus Christ. Of course, he did not understand all the theological details at that time but growing up in a Christian home gave the opportunity to learn important truths about God’s great plan for man.

Over the past 15 years, he has had the privilege to serve under various Pastors in the United States in many roles. It is my goal to carry the torch that has been passed on at LCA and continue to deliver on the promise of Godly values to the next generation. My life verse is Jerimiah 33:3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things thou knowest not.

Professionally Tim is an analytically focused individual with diverse experience in delivering exceptional business outcomes. With over 20 years of background in Banking and Finance, Tim has proven success in Risk Management, and Risk Intelligence executing strategic plans.

He is a Senior Internal Auditor at Amerisafe Inc, in his free time he can be found volunteering at several roles including on the Advisory Board as a Digital Marketing Advisory Member, University of TN, the local Airforce Sergeant’s Association on the International Board as the Family Trustee or just being a dad to his 10-year-old daughter.

 

Andel Challenger, Principal

Andel brings a wealth of experience and passion to the field of education. For a number of years, he served as the principal of Grace Christian Academy in Antigua, elevating the school’s academic standards to excellence. Currently, he serves as the principal of Lighthouse Christian Academy. Andel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Missions and a minor in Electronics, followed by a Master of Arts in Church Administration.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Andel enjoys staying updated on new technology and exploring nature through sightseeing and reading. With a strong foundation in Christian education Andel continues to inspire and lead with dedication and enthusiasm. He is a dynamic leader in Christian Education.

 

Loren Challenger, Board Member

Loren grew up in a Christian home. It was not till later in high school that he decided to accept Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. After University he served in his local church and worked as a teacher in Lighthouse Christian Academy. For many years he served in his local church Lighthouse Baptist Church leading songs and preaching. After many years of fulltime Christian service, he transitioned into the airlines working in worked in sales.

He currently worked as head of Business Development at Digicel in Dominica. He still works in his local church leading songs and assisting with the church related work. The lord has given him a wonderful family. He currently has 3 boys and 1 girl. He enjoying playing football with his children on the weekends and enjoying the outdoors.

Micah Challenger, Board Member

Micah grew up in a solid Christian home. It was not till the age of 13 during an evangelistic open-air service, in Dominica in the summer of 1992, he decided to give his life to Christ. At the age of 21 during an evangelistic service at Bob Jones University he dedicated his life to serve God wherever it may be. After university he became active in his local church leading songs and teaching Sunday school and serving in any way possible. His passion for technology led him to manage a mobile phone repair store then later start his own cell phone and computer repair company called StayMobile in Antigua.

For the last 20 years he has served in bi-vocational role running his own business, and acting as an intern church leader in the church he has attended for the last 20 years. He currently preaches and teaches bible study weekly. He also leads church visitation and does bible club with some of the young children in the community.

He has a passion for teaching the bible and encouraging believers to have a closer walk with God through a strong prayer life and regular bible reading. He also has a strong burden for encouraging believers to use their spiritual gifts to serve God. One of his favorite Bible verses is from (Jeremiah 29:11) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”.

Micah loves to stay active by running, cycling or swimming. He also loves photography and enjoys making short IG reels of the beautiful sunsets. They often remind him of the verse from
