At Lighthouse Christian Academy, our mission is to foster the holistic development of each student, academically, physically, and spiritually. We are dedicated to providing a quality education that not only prepares students to excel in a world of evolving values but also instills timeless principles to guide their decision-making. Our commitment is to equip students with the tools and values they need to thrive and make positive contributions to society, ensuring that they are prepared to fulfill their highest potential in service to God and community.
Our vision is to cultivate a generation of compassionate, principled, and visionary leaders who are deeply rooted in Christian values. We aspire to create a transformative educational environment where students are inspired to achieve academic excellence, develop strong moral character, and serve others with love and integrity. By integrating faith with learning, we seek to empower our students to make meaningful contributions to society and advance the Kingdom of God.
Founded in 1982 by Pastor H. Challenger and Louise Challenger, LCA has stood as a pillar of education and hope in the Kalinago Territory, Dominica. Positioned at the border of Atkinson, and the Kalinago Territory, formerly known as the Carib Territory, our school serves as a beacon of opportunity and learning for the community. For over 42 years, LCA has been dedicated to delivering exceptional Christian education from Kindergarten through Grade 6. Our commitment to academic excellence is reflected in the accomplishments of our approximately 500 graduates, many of whom have
earned prestigious government scholarships and have pursued successful careers as lawyers, doctors, scientists, and teachers. Our curriculum integrates a US-based Christian education framework with the local curriculum, ensuring our students receive a comprehensive education that equips them for future success. Our diverse student body for the 2023-2024 school year included children from various areas of the Kalinago Territory and beyond; K3 to Grade 6, fostering a vibrant and inclusive learning community.
